Welcome To G.A.I.T.'s Autumn Edition of "Stable Eyes"

2009- A Year For Additions

In keeping with our goal of “A Year for Additions”, this summer we have added a new program, “ Horse Sponsorship Appreciation Day ”. This program allowed members who have sponsored horses throughout the year to have a special day at G.A.I.T. with G.A.I.T. staff to learn how their sponsorship dollars are used to take care of their horse. They also learned how to groom their horse and how to lead their horse while playing a game. It was a fun day for all!

Visitors from Korea come to G.A.I.T. Therapeutic Riding Center to learn more about Equine Activities And TherapiesThis summer has also been busy with international visitors! G.A.I.T. had three visitors from Korea over the summer. They were veterinary students who came to the United States and specifically to G.A.I.T. to learn more about “Animal Assisted Therapies”. They found the G.A.I.T. website with Martha Dubensky, as NARHA Region 2 Representative, and decided to come to G.A.I.T. to learn more about G.A.I.T.’s equine therapies.

G.A.I.T. was also host to three visitors from Great Britain this summer. Additionally, a veterinary student from France is volunteering at G.A.I.T. this summer as an intern to learn more about equine assisted therapies in the United States.

This year, G.A.I.T. has truly become an international organization for Equine Activities and Therapies!
