| G.A.I.T. is an acronym... for "Genuine Alternative In Therapy". The word itself refers to the strides of the horse which are similar to the normal walking gaits of a human. The movement of the horse provides the physical component to therapeutic riding. What Is G.A.I.T.? G.A.I.T. is a Federal Non-Profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. G.A.I.T.'s Mission: All classes at G.A.I.T. are conducted by NARHA Certified Instructors. NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) is a national accrediting body that sets the safety standards and requirements for the therapeutic riding industry. G.A.I.T. is a NARHA Premier Accredited Therapeutic Riding Center and that means G.A.I.T. adheres to the strictest NARHA rules and mandates that include the highest safety standards for the people we serve, a respectful and nurturing environment for all who enter G.A.I.T.'s premises, and an elevated level of training for all staff and volunteers. |
